Starch, starch and more starch...

I think our bodies are going to go through major starch withdrawals if we ever leave Idaho!

Yesterday for Family Night we stuffed our faces at the 5th Annual Great Potato Bowl Plus held at the ISU ballroom. In an ironic twist of fate, with gluttony we gorged ourselves on sample recipes from some of Pocatello’s finest restaurants with 1,500 other people in an event that benefits the Idaho Food Bank and the Family Service Alliance.

It was a riot! We got to eat potato pancakes, twice baked potatoes, potato bread, baked potatoes, pizza (without potatoes), BBQ and Buddy’s salad! Needless to say great times were had by all… Of course, all Austin and Allie will be able to remember is the pounds of popcorn they ate from the Popcorn shop!

Goodenough was good enough!

For family home evening last Monday we explored nature. Just 30minutes outside of Pocatello and west of McCammon we found GoodEnough Campground. The area belongs to the BLM and has about 10 campsites. We loved the day use area that had a small sandbox. Allie and Austin loved playing in the water and with the horseshoes. Maybe next time we'll try some camping there. We ended with a little hike and thanked our Heavenly Father for such a beautiful world!
