We found a great spot for the Pioneer Day Parade in Pocatello this year. I don't know if we've ever seen so much candy! It seemed every ward and stake in the Pocatello area had endless pounds of tootsie rolls and salt water taffy to toss. Allie especially loved the OtterPops. Austin has been tracking his bag of candy for a week now and it seems it is all he thinks about. Our favorite float was the statue of Chief Pocatello. They are going to dedicate the statue soon; it was awesome to see the beautiful Native American headdresses and pride.
After the parade we went the fairgrounds and had free Watermelon then bought ourselves an Indian Taco, shared some Chuck-Wagon Potatoes and homemade Sasparilla, and played in the petting-zoo and tee pee. The best part of the day? We packed it all in before naps!
