Tonight was the much anticipated 1st Annual Neighborhood Potato Festival.
Imagine everything potato...a potato cooking competition, a mashed potato eating contest, a "throw-a-hot-potato-at-your-husband" contest, potato sack races and a the potato decorating contest.
A few of the highlights? Allie just loved being outside and spent the night running free. Austin loved the potato sack race until it actually started, then he cried when they yelled "go", and got upset when everyone took off and left him. He was however the first to the finish line- only because he didn't move and the race was up-and-back (we'll just have to train more in the off-season). Lisa nearly killed Scott when she threw a hot potato two feet from her dear husband from 30 yards away- a little pent up aggression maybe?
Of course, as a family we were quite proud to win an award for our entry in the potato decorating contest... We decorated four potatoes to look like the candidates in this year's presidential election. That's right all eyes were on this year's election! Featuring: "Spud" McCain, Potato Palin, Barack AuGratin, and Baked Biden as candidates coming from the field!

Only in Idaho can you have this much fun!
