Everybody loves a Pocatello Parade

We found a great spot for the Pioneer Day Parade in Pocatello this year. I don't know if we've ever seen so much candy! It seemed every ward and stake in the Pocatello area had endless pounds of tootsie rolls and salt water taffy to toss. Allie especially loved the OtterPops. Austin has been tracking his bag of candy for a week now and it seems it is all he thinks about. Our favorite float was the statue of Chief Pocatello. They are going to dedicate the statue soon; it was awesome to see the beautiful Native American headdresses and pride.

After the parade we went the fairgrounds and had free Watermelon then bought ourselves an Indian Taco, shared some Chuck-Wagon Potatoes and homemade Sasparilla, and played in the petting-zoo and tee pee. The best part of the day? We packed it all in before naps!

Such cute posts! The scrapbook-style pages are great. And I love Austin's T-shirt: "I still live with my parents." What cute kids!

Wow, what a morning! Y'all are a lot more ambitious than we are! :) Tell Allie I love Otter pops too. I can't believe how blonde Austin is, just like Jeff!

As a perfect grandfather, I can honestly say I cannot recall ever having given Austin or Allie an Otter Pop, cotton candy or even a single Tootsie Roll. I do, however, distinctly remember feeding them broccoli. So who's contributing to Austin's sweet tooth, I wanna know? Certainly not me!
Actually, I'm pretty excited to see you do so many fun things with the little Teich's. I wish I were your kid!

Indian Tacos, Sasparilla. The title of that blog sums it all up. We love to see what you're up to.
