Well our little guy is almost back to his boisterous chipper self. On October, 9th our little guy had his tonsils and adenoids removed. After two weeks of recovery he’s finally just starting to sleep through the night. Lisa has been amazing as she has waited on
The surgery was a success and we are amazed at how quiet our little guy sleeps now! Poor
Our special thanks go to our parents for their sacrifices in spending time with us and helping us tend our totally sugar high children!
As you can imagine, with all the undivided attention its been hard to get back to normal at the Teichert house. The last week has been trying to wean ourselves from sugar, suddenly Allie is a two year old and has become very vocal about what she wants, Austin has a new sweet voice but has to have Little Einstein’s on constantly, Lisa is starting to catch up on sleep and I… well, I’ll think of how I am after this Otter Pop!

Oh my heavens! I can't believe Austin had to have surgery. That would freak me right out, even though it's routine. I'm so glad it's helping! It sounds like you guys are on the mend. I wish you the best. Unfortunately, we are also into Otter Pops, but we don't have any excuses.
I'm so glad that he's ok! It's great how quick kids can recover, even though it takes the parents a little longer to get over it all! Lincoln had this same surgery and I couldn't believe the changes it made...good luck! Luv ya!
Austin is such a cute little boy. What sweet pictures of him and Lisa during his surgery. Fun to see Grandpa Fred in them too. Sounds like Allie isn't the only one who is addicted to Otter Pops! Glad everything went well.
Tonsils..tonsils..tonsils..what a fun word. I got mine out the day I was baptized and lived on pudding, jello and popsicles. I hope that everything is better with Austin now. Will either of you please email me your address? libbylovesmike@gmail.com I would love it if possible!

Now that it's mostly over, I have to comment on just what a little trooper Austin was through his surgery and recovery. Although the pain woke him at night and made it miserable for him during the day, it was inspiring to see how courageous he was and how much he trusted his parents. When you said he'd start to feel better he innocently replied, "Okay."
He often gives me courage by saying, "You can do it, Grandpa!" Although I'm pretty sure he already knows it, I just want to repeat that: "You can do it, Austin!"
We're so glad that Austin is feeling better! What a tough little guy!
