Thanks to all the wonderful friends and family who have shown their love and support as we prepare to move to New Mexico.

There is an old adage that you don't know what you've got until it's gone; as for Idaho we've known we've been blessed to be in awesome part of the country but with little ones it's often difficult to explore this little "gem" state. Last week Grandpa Fred and Uncle Jeff watched the kids so Lisa and I could do a little road trip through central Idaho.

The highlights of our three day, whirlwind, central Idaho trip:
Day One...
Indian Springs, Massacre Rocks State Park, Registry Rock, Malad Gorge, Blue Highways (on cassette), Boise shopping (Lisa), the movie Earth,

Day Two...
AmeriTel breakfast (yum), Boise Temple, Famous Dave's BBQ, Horseshoe Bend, Scenic Drive, Sawtooth Mountain Range, Elk,Love and Logic (on cassette) Deer, Traffic Ticket, Sun Valley Lodge, bowling, Italian restaurant, rain.

Day Three...
Rain, swimming, main street diner, Craters of the Moon, Atomic City, rain,home...

We're sure glad to have had the chance to play tourists in our own backyard even if it was for a short weekend!

It's funny how we can live someplace and never really see it. There are so many places I've never been in Utah. It's great you were able to get to know Idaho before you move!

The Love and Logic part was the best! Love that stuff. Glad you got to go on a trip all by your lonesomes and enjoy Idaho before you leave it behind. You are so talented with the photo pages.

I love that you guys listened to "Blue Highways." That's a good book. I read it a couple of years ago. Any chance you'll share some reviews of what you saw or heard? What's worthwhile? What's not? I'm glad you got to get away.

Why is it that we really start to appreciate what we have when we're ready to leave it? I was just starting to appreciate my mind and now I'm starting to lose it. That's like Idaho, isn't it?

It was so nice to see you guys today. It was a very nice surprise too. Even though I don't miss HS, I do miss my good friends like you. I wish you nothing but the best in New Mexico. :)

Please still keep in touch.
