Certainly the future will allow us the opportunity to see this period of our lives with greater clarity and understanding, but until then we walk forward with hope, faith, and resolve that all roads we are being asked to travel are for our experience and good.
Being unable to share some of our personal and professional challenges throughout the past several months with family and friends through our blog has been difficult but we appreciate the understanding and patience of those who realize that in most instances our disappointments cannot be broadcast.
Charles Dickens penned in the opening lines of Tales of Two Cities that, "It was the best of times and the worst of times." Such alliteration is also illustrative of our experience in New Mexico.
There have been (and continue to be) episodes in our experience here which can only be described as "the worst of times". But the price we've been asked to pay to grow ever closer as a family, realize the personal nature of our God, and rely more intimately on each other and the whisperings of personal revelation has been incredibly worth it. That our Heavenly Father has a plan for us we know.
Gratitude is ever extended to friends and family who support us even when we can't share all that we are experiencing. The next year will certainly bring incredible changes in our family, but we are incredibly optimistic and have a quiet assurance that all these things are for our experience and good.
Thanks for your prayers, faith and encouragement. We are so grateful for so much!
Some deep and personal thoughts...

I'm so sorry to hear you're going through a rough time. You guys are the type who will always be OK, though, because of your testimonies. I wish I could help. Hang in there, and know that you are loved!
You know you will always have our love and support. When I grow up I want to be just like you.
Your faith has always inspired me. Always. You two have always seemed so in tune to the promptings and so willing to follow His plan. I'm so glad that I have you guys to look up to for inspiration and guidance. I love you guys so much. Best of luck to all that you're dealing with. I hope it gets better. WE love you to infinity and beyond...
PS we still need to get together...let's work something out.
I will put you in my prayers. We sure miss your bright smiling faces here....but soon we may be elsewhere as well. Is it possible for you to drop me an e-mail and let me know what is going on? I hope for the best of times for you and your family!
Jessica

Can't wait to see you guys this weekend.
I wish I had the faith and guidance you show with all the decisions and conflicts that occur in your life. Thank you for your words of wisdom. It gives me strength to carry on myself and hope for a better future. We pray for you daily and miss and love you guys so much. I pray that our future destinations will bring us closer together. We love and miss family so much, but only the Lord knows what is in store for our families and we just have to go forward with faith. Love ya, Staci
You all rock my socks. You're in my prayers for sure!
On another note...there's an opening for Admissions Director at Weber State, and I think you should come. Okay? Okay. Done and done.
Well, not sure all you are facing, but I will definitely keep you and Lisa in my prayers! You are both amazing, and I'm sure the Lord is molding you to become even more amazing! Please tell her hello for me, and that I love her to pieces!!!
